Description
St Paul’s Carcoar is one of two Sue Hodge paintings featuring the historic village of Carcoar. This one features the view from the church with the railway station in the background. The other, Carcoar Railway Station is the feature with the church in the background. St Paul’s Anglican Church was one of the first churches to be built west of the Blue Mountains. Completed on high ground in 1848 it kept a watchful eye over the stories and goings on at Carcoar.
