Cook Park – Orange

Colour and fun are what I was thinking when I painted Cook Park in Orange. Orange has been described by tourism groups as one of the most beautiful cities in Regional Australia. And in Autumn it out does itself. The colours of the turning autumn leaves especially

in the towns main part are amazing. From a deep red, bright yellow to pale Orange, there is every colour possible. For an artist like me who loves colour on a canvas, it’s a great place to paint.

Then there’s the life of the park. An extended swing set for the kids, paths to leisurely stroll down and the duck pond. All nestled in the middle of the thriving city of Orange. It’s like a calm and tranquil oasis where people can go to escape the business of the city. Families go just to get out of the house, to give their children a play in the play area or to see the birds in the aviaries. For the plant lovers there are the many different species of native and unusual plants.

A coffee shop if you need a small beverage and space to exercise and walk out the stress of workday. All in all, I’ve tried to capture in this piece a place you really should take time to visit – Cook Park Orange.
